Question about GMC Sierra 1500
1999 gmc sierra 2500 truck
Well if it does have one it should be by the blower motor or behind glovebox but my best bet its ure thermistor its bad, assuming fuse and relays are fine, remotely think ure controls are bad.

the encoder motor sensor is inside the encoder motor. the encoder is located at the transfer case. Remove the encoder and by part number 88962315 this is the sensor. you will have to retime the motor after

SOURCE: gmc sierra blower switch
last place to look is the resistor block located in the duct work for the blower (fan). it should have a wiring plug going to it and be held in by a couple screws. look on the passenger side near the fan itself.

Unless they moved it and are still using the same part,I would say that this one is located behind the glove box sandwitched between the underside of the dash and the top of the airbox.The blower motor is mounted to the underside of the airbox.

The blower motor is on the passengers side under the dash.You might have to remove the a lower panel.This is the insulator panel.If the blower works at all just turn it on and follow the noise.Hope this helps.Good luck.
