Question about Cars & Trucks
It appears the exhaust crossover pipe and a whole lotta other s''t has to be removed to get to the thermostat- is this correct?
Sounds like the inline 6cyl, well i think u only need to disconnect batt and take out alternator and bracket but on older models i know most v6 connections should be on front of engine top radiator hose or rear of engine rad hose.

Had this problem once mine was 13mm bolt. I took an old wrench heated it with a torch and bent it just the right angle. worked perfect.

Check the egr valve, make sure it is not sticking, and do a major tune up,this will help in burning the rich mixture at cold idle.
