What is the C0265 error code

The ABS EBCM anti-lock brake module is failing causing problems with the ABS pump running constantly, also will drain your battery.
  1. Remove the ABS fuse to prevent ABS motor burn out.
  2. You can still drive your vehicle with the module removed.
  3. We recommend covering the exposed surface of the hydraulic control unit with aluminum foil to keep out water and dirt.
Common Failures:
  • ABS Pump Always Running

The abs and tcs lights came on at same time

You'll need to get the system scanned for trouble codes.
Some code readers will not access the ABS or body computer.
A trouble code for the ABS can also knock out the traction control.

Trouble lights on but no codes

You need a code reader that reads ABS/TC codes. The standard code readers will not read theses codes. Most likely though you have a bad wheel sensor.

Abs, engine light on

the "check engine light" is letting you know that the powertrain control module has detected a problem with one of its sensors or there is a system fault. A diagnostic trouble code has been set and is available for reading with a code reader. Most major auto parts stores will have a code reader that you can borrow or they will read your codes out for free. Since the ABS light is also on, the trouble code is most likely associated with the ABS system.

The ABS light is now on. should i have breaks

Dear ABS Light.......The answer is YES!!! If your ABS light is on then obviously your abs system is either completely inoperational or you have oe or more component in your abs that has failed. As long as you are able to safely drive it I would recommend getting your vehicle down to a reputable service shop to inspect that light.I would normally say to inspect these yourself but unfortunately this repair requires a scanner that is fairly expensive and is application specific.I HOPE I COULD HELP!!!

Hyundai Matrix Check Engine and ABS lights come on

Your ABS likely has a very dirty reluctor (can happen if the teeth get mud or brake dust in them) or possibly one of your speed sensors is starting to weaken and is close to failure. The proper diagnostic sequence is to have the trouble codes pulled from ABS and Engine modules and determine what the computers SAW when the lights were turned on. Most likely based on description, your ABS will have a speed sensor code, and your engine and/or trans module will have a transmission related trouble code. Very few transmission codes are things you can service at home, usually youll see solenoid or gear slippage codes...mostly those require internal repairs that often require removal of the valve body or rebuild of the transmission.
Make sure you check fluid level, that is the most common cause of transmission slippage codes, however if fluid is full, it indicates that unless the fluid has failed completely, you may need transmission repairs.

ABS light won't go off

Did you go off road recently?
The simple DIY method is to gently hose down each wheels when there are COMPLETELY COLD. Dirt can cover to ABS sensors.
Most failure are from the front wheels because of the heat.
The car wash with under side cleaning will also do the trick if it's a dirt related problem.

Remove the negitive battery cable or clear OBD-II code.

MAC and OTC make ABS senor tester to pin point the trouble spot but it cost $$$.

Do the preventive cleaning before bring it to the shop.

What is the ABS light on the instrument panel

You most likely have a sensor that is either out of adjustment, too dirty to transmit a signal, or it could be a ABS motor has gone bad or one of the many other ABS components. Some ABS systems require a certain voltage and if they have just under the required voltage, this will cause the ABS light to come on as well(alternator output voltage too low). Your local garage/dealership should be able to pull the code and tell you exactly what is wrong. You can drive with the ABS inoperable, just be careful during slippery conditions now that you won't have anti lock brakes.

ABS Light

Bad abs sensor wheel speed sensors are mostly common. However recommend that you take this vehicle to an Auto_zone they will put it on a code scanner for FREE. Then you will know exactly what the problem is with t=your car. Don't guess and if some say its xyz they are only assuming. get it check by a computer. I can provide further help if needed. Remember when ABS light is on abs is INOPERABLE. Its a vital safety feature especially in wet slippery conditions. Good Luck and thanks for using FIX YA
