Question about Cars & Trucks
Got the key fob wet. I dried it and put new batteries in it and it worked great. After a week of no problems it won't work at all. Although sometimes it will start the alarm and not stop.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Hi! Sounds like the key needs to be coded again, take all relvant details i.e. chassis vin number, Registration document (Title) and key to your local Mercedes Dealership and hopefully they'll rec-code it for youor replace it.
Good Luck and a Happy New Year to You and your family.

You should have a switch under the dash and then just turn it to the off position. If you don't or it doesn't work (like mine) then, there is 2 fuses under the dash, put the key in the ignition and turn it forward, pull one of the fuses out and then start the car that should reset it. Then you should be able to put the fuse back. Sometimes if you put the fuse back before starting it the alarm will just continue to try and reset itself, but not start the car. If that doesn't work I have a mechanic who can pull the whole alarm out and when hes done it would look like nothing has ever been installed. Hes very good. I ended having him take my alarm out when I had the same incident happen after the 2nd time.

Don't know if will work for you but here it goes:
1 - no key in ingnition
2 - press the unlock button in console off the car for about 10 seconds(dont let go)
3 - it should work the central doors one time and then 2 times( hear)
4 - press the remote a few times until it starts working
It worked for me hope the same for you.
Please tell me if it worked and pass the message.

probably somewhere on the little circut board a crack has developed or a little solder joint has come loose,if it was working fine you probably dont need to see if its still programmed to the car,as it can happen
