Question about 2003 Chevrolet S-10

Noise when i get around 60-65 and let off the gas i get a roaring sound from the front end and when i push the 4 hi button it stops what gives? i also have a banging or popping noise, it sounds like it is hitting the floorboard at times. thanks i have a 2003 s-10 zr2 by the way

You either have transfer case issues or CV joint problems giving you a warning. Get it checked by a reputable shop before it locks up on you.

98 Pontiac Grand Prix load front end roaring?


Defective fan clutch, if it has one. With a cold engine only, try spinning the fan blade by hand. If it does not turn freely, the fan clutch is defective. Warning: When the engine is hot, the fan can turn on by itself with the car not running and keys are NOT in the ignition.

Lound roaring noise in the front end does it in 4 wheel drive and in two wheel drive


Sound like a front wheel bearing. If it was in the differential it would only make noise in 4 wheel drive

it sounds like a bad hub bearing

try raising the front end off of the ground and spin the tires by hand and feel for roughness in the hubs

Growling/Roaring Noise Front End


sounds like a wheel bearing. typically when you take weight off bad bearing noise goes away. to replace bearing you will need a press to get it off and on

2001 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL ROAR WHEN ACCELERATING


Same problem with an LS...wheel bearings. Comes in the whole hub assembly. Just had it fixed for $340.
