Check your battery cables, could be loose,go to Autozone, they will check your battery and alternator for free, takes just a few minutes, also check your serpentine belt to see if it has the right tension, idle gas up high and watch it turn, should turn tightly.

Volume won't go up on radio in 2009 Hyundai Sonata

If it has on the steering wheel controls, they are bad. They use a carbon type impregnated rubber and being in hot and cold can cause this. IT could also be the clock spring in the steering column or if none of those apply then it is radio itself.

2009 Hyundai Sonata decreases volume by itself

Do you have the AVC (auto volume control) enabled? If so, disable it and see what happens. If that doesnt fix it, try to do a "hard reset" by pulling out the shunt fuse. It's 1 or 2 fuses in a little yellow thing in the fuse box on the inside driver side, just pull it out a little, not all the way. Your dome lights, door dinger ect should stop working as well, this is normal. Wait 5 min and push it back in, hopefully that'll fix it up.

My 2009 elantra touring gls radio has a ghost in it. at random times the volume or the channels will increase. how can this be fixed?

There is nothing wrong with your radio. Your Elantra radio automatically changes the volume for you. When you slow down and stop, it lowers the volume, then the volume goes back up when you accelerate.
