SOURCE: washer fuse blowing

OK guys. How cold is it where you are, and do you have
1. headlight washers as well
2. The right mix of screenwash/ water for your system

If not, check that you washer bottle has not frozen, blocking the pump and causing a system overload.
Also, check that the headlight washers (if they pop up from the bumper) are not frozen to the bumper body (it doesn't take much - try warming them with a hairdryer).

Had same problem, in the boot right hand side, behind the removable panel there is :
1 - a hydraulic reservoir which must be at correct level.
2 - a black box (stc) this controls the roof system,
switch ignition off then pull the 2 connectors off for 30sec then reconnect.
This worked and hope this resolves your problem

Hi can you help i have a Saab 93 2.0LT 04 the windscreen washer keep blowing the fuse i have replaced it twice with no luck thanks jim

the fuse is telling you that something is drawing too much current through its circuit, making it blow out. to protect that circuit is its function. disconnect the electrical plug from the washer motor and put a new fuse in. if the fuse still blows out then your problem is something else shorted out in the circuit, and you should look at the legend to see what else shares that circuit. if the fuse does not blow out then you should get yourself another washer motor.

Window wiper problem

Hello I have a saab 9.3 SS 04 and had the same problem.

- intermittent wipe doesn't work, at all
- windscreen washers don't work, at all
- "normal" continuous, and fast wipe work, but the wipers
freeze in the middle of the windscreen if you let go of the
control stalk, rather than sweeping back to the resting position
- same "freeze" happens with the manual wipe (push down on the control stalk)

The weird thing is that, this morning, for about 10 minutes, it seemed to fix itself,
partially - the washers started working etc - but the intermittent wipe still didn't work. However not long after that it went back to the symptoms described above.
also if I unplugged my car battery for a minute the washers worked for several seconds but again same problem occurs.

Solution is to replace your wiper motor. its that "simple"
worked for me. The wiper motor has a lot of electronic stuff and seems to control the washer engine.
Good luck.
