If you have a book picture your are screwed. You do have a tensioner but it is between air con and powersteering pullys. In front from under you can put 15mm wrenchopend with a nother for leverage pull center bolt down to release tension. simple.

Anyway to bypass an idler pulley on a 2007 Ford escape?

Torque for the idler bolt is only 93 lb-in (10.5 Nm). Less than a typical spark plug torque setting. Likely you are over tightening and weakening the bolt.

If you can't get a torque wrench on the bolt while in place then practice using a different similar bolt to get a feel for 90 to 100 lb-in. Note; you need to hold the torque wrench at near the same length of what ever tool you use to tighten the bolt in place. Use the end of your fingers to apply pressure, don't grasp the wrench.

How do you tighten a serpintine belt on a 2008 ford escape

There is a self adjusting pulley that is spring loaded and works when properly included when the belt is installed properly. There should be a diagram of proper routing on a white decal under the hood. Good luck.

Where is the coolant pumb in ford escape 2012?

I have a 2012 Escape with the 4cyl engine.
The water (coolant) pump is located on the front of the engine.
This would be on the passenger side of the car. Towards the front, on the passenger side, the top pulley is an idler, the next one down is the water pump.
And yes, the lower radiator hose does attach to the engine right behind the water pump.
The 6cyl Escape may be different.

Bolt backed out of idler pulley in my 2008 ford fusion what do I need to do to put my new pulley in

You need a serpentine belt tool, you can rent one at the parts place and while you are there get the new idler. You will also need a wrench to fit the bolt. Remove the belt then take the bolt out of the idler and install the new one, you can use some low strength loctite purple to keep this from happening again. Reinstall the belt, return the tool and get your money back for the rental.
