I just replaced some gaskets on my dads 1997 Olds Delta 88. I needed to disconnect the battery in order to do so, now that everythings back together the car wont start and the orange security light on the instrument panel flashes?? I tried using the unlock code for the radio and it works but the car wont turn over or attempt to do anything. All the lights and electronics work but nothing when turning the key...?

Well, in my 1989 Olds 88, the oil filter is just above the right swingarm for the wheel. It's an interesting reach from underneath, and the oil drips directly onto the frame of the car, but that's where the filter should be.
I believe they use the same 3800 (3.8L V6) engine up through 1997 or 1998...so you should be able to find it there. Hope that helps!
If you have an automatic transmission that is routed through your
cooling system, and you've tried everything possible to correct
overheating, your tranny may be on its way out. The problems your
tranny may be having having operating normally could be effecting the
engine temp. THE other problem may be that you just need to replace your radiator cap. If that fails then check your fan to make sure that they are working. if that fails that it could be a bad head gasket and it needs to be replaced
