There are sensor switches on the doors, open one of them and look at the side of the vehicle where the lock is that holds the door close, you will notice a small rubber push button there ,, when you press it,, it closes in turning off the door lights and letting the car know the door is closed.. One of those one the doors is shorting out, by a broken wire or a stuck sensor,, you need to take them out and check the wires connecting them, or play with them by pushing them in and out rapidly until the beeping stops.

2005 jeep wrangler when i turn lights on beeping starts

did you RTM read the operators guide yet,
it tells you why all beeps beep and what lamps flash, (warning) and why. did you?
you turn on, the head lights, (what about 1st click , parking lights"?)
and does the dash cluster, show warnings of any kind?

if a door is ajar the system will think, you are exiting veh. with lights on and tell you, buy beeping ,etc.
but on my jeep it says on the dash DOOR, or on EVICs, (not yours)
the newer car even tells what door IS AJAR.
mine on shows , "DOOR"
the operator guide will say, check all doors for ajar, and get warning clear before driving....etc.

if you lost the guide here it is for free

click the 05 link
ignore beeps, there are just too many .. i look at the cluster and learn to read it..
my newer jeep 08 can produce 1000s of errors,,,,, possible.
in fact the intent it to beep to tell the driver to look at the cluster
for in depth, causes.
see chapter starting on page 136'

and door ajar.

NOTE: If the driver's door is left open, and the headlights
or parking lights are left on, the "High Beam
Indicator Light" will flash and a chime will sound.
Lights-On Reminder
If the headlights or parking lights are on after the ignition
is turned off, a chime will sound when the driver's door

its a crude system, and evolved to complex in 2007.
"DOOR" or RF-door , on mine.

Lights in cabin do not dime after the car is locked, after locking the car I can hear three short beeps,

Do you have a remote starter in this vehicle, if so disconnect it and see what happens, if all is well, replace the module, if not the central timer module on this vehicle is located behind drivers kick pad, unplug it and retry, you would have lock the doors manually, this module controls the locks, possible malfunction in it,also by chance does your key in switch sense work fine, when you remove your keys from the igntion tumbler, door open the chimes quits, if it does not , there is a micro switch in there that might be sticking, if there is no chime, still in the ctm, now the 3 beeps, where are they coming from, inside or outside, you didnt say, open your door and close the latch with a scewdriver to simulate door closed, and listen for the beeps, I'm currious about this. GOOD LUCK, RDJRP

If ews2 alarm is fitted it need to be reset by computer. Any tampering will set it into protectction mode. Had similar problem. You can try the following but if it does not work get someonr with diagnostic computer. PREPARATION 1. Close all doors, trunk, hood and sunroof. 2. The security system must be in 'disarm' mode. The key must be removed from the ignition key slot. ENTER CODE LEARNING MODE 3. Open trunk and leave it opened. 4. Open the drivers door and sit in the drivers seat. 5. Close the drivers door. 6. Cycle the ignition switch 5 times between the 'OFF' position and position 2,(ignition 'ON', all dash warning lamps will illuminate). The red status LED will illuminate continuously, and the siren will 'chirp' once, to indicate that the code-learning mode has been initiated. ?Do No start the engine.? The Ignition switch cycling in step #6 must be performed within 10 seconds. The sequence in steps #1-#6 must be performed within 45 seconds. REGISTER/DELETE ID CODE(S) 7. Open drivers door, (remain seated in the drivers seat) 8. Close the drivers door. 9. Press and release any button on the remote you wish to register in the system. The status LED will shut off momentarily to indicate that one code has been registered. 10. Repeat steps 7 thru 9 to register the three ID codes. It is possible for the system to memorize a total of 4 different ID codes. As a new code is initialized into the memory, the oldest code is automatically deleted. If you had lost your remotes and wished to delete the lost remote ID codes from the memory, you could initialize the ID codes from a newly purchased replacement transmitter four times thereby deleting the previous ID codes from the system memory. EXITING CODE - LEARNING MODE: 11. Open drivers door, and exit from the vehicle, leaving the door opened. 12. Close trunk. 13. Close drivers door. The LED will turn off and the siren will 'chirp twice. 14. The initialization procedure is now completed; Test all remotes to confirm operation.
