Sounds like humidity is the issue, may want to check your ignition system, like your wiring, plugs, ignition coil and related components.

How do I replace ignition coil on my 2011 Kia Rio 1.6l?

Step one: buy new ignition coil
Step two: find bad ignition coil
Step three: replace the coil.

Seriously it is this easy, once you buy the new part you know what to look for in your engine bay. disconnect the old one and reconnect the new one in the same way.

Kia rio stars and shuts off.

How did you test spark? Did you test the coils with multimeter etc for resistance at least. 12V.

Check the ignition switch.
2.) Also if the timing belt jumped teeth this could cause your symptoms as well.
