The blower motor resistor is probably the issue. I can't help you on its location because you didn't include the year and engine size of your truck
Good luck with resolving your issue!
No it's not difficult. The resistor is located under the hood on the passenger side. At the back of the engine compartment you need to locate the airbox it can be identified by a circular piece that's right beside the fender on the firewall (this is your blower motor) to the right if it (looking from the front of the truck) about 4 -6" you will see a wire plug. Unplug this connector and locate the four screws that attach it to the air box. Remove these screws and pull the resistor from the housing. A new one should'nt be expensive(about $20.00) If you find this dosn't fix the problem you will want to look at checking/replacing the switch in the dash. However the resistor is the most likely.
hope this helps! If you require further assistance please post a reply here and i'll be glad to help some more.

The truck is a 1998 with a 2.2 engine. Do you know where the BMR is located ? Also , is it very hard to change? Thanks.
