How to adjust handbrake

the adjustment is usually in the rear pads... when you remove the wheel and the hub, there is a little horizontal cylinder that you can turn in and or out to adjust. Out will apply the brakes more, in will apply them less. Having to adjust it usually means your brake shoes are worn....

it could be the CV joint is faulty, check the rubber boot on the drive axle on the near side front wheel to see if it is split or completely destroyed,if it is damaged the dirt has got into the CV joint & caused the damage & the CV joint will have to be replaced........hope this helps......cheers

Handbrake

They all work the same. Call it parking-brake, hand-brake or foot-brake, it is the same.

Use your hand, or foot to apply the foot-brake, whatever is convenient for you is ok.

You need to de adjust the handbrake shoes through the small inspection cover on the back plates. Slackening off the parkbrake cable may help as well.

Chrysler voyager drum brakes excess hand brake travel no adjuster how can a take up slack

i had the same problem with my crysler voyager 1997,a friend of mine who is a mechanic found the problem,it is a self adjuster on the handbrake itself, once drums are adjusted up you need to go to your hanbrake area and you will find a white plastic clip on the bottom of the lever ,once removed you pull up your handbrake a few times and it self adjusts, then put the plastic clip back on,this soved my problem,by doing this my handbrake went from about 13 clicks on max to hold . to about 6 clicks and held perfectly
