SOURCE: my digital clock went out

I had the same problem and here's how I fixed it: there's a black piece (in the interior fuse box)- to the right of all thefuses.

I flipped the direction it was inserted. Location: interior fuse box. In bright light you can read lettering-one way says "on" and the riht says "off". Try pulling that black thing out and make sure it's in the on position.

SOURCE: radio, clock and dome light not working

Had this before and i found a fault on the fuse board ,no supply the printed circuit maybe as i didnt go any further i just looped it from another fuse that had power via ignition switch through the radio fuse and it all worked but the fuse for the radio wasnt the one i looped as that had power for the memory it was another one that done the interior light and a thin bit of telephone wire done the trick so check all the fuses for power ,pull them out and check with a little 12v screwdriver light thing from the chinese shop ,right star trek is about to start goodnight

2010 chevy captiva abs warning light

Abs is a good feature on vehicles now days. It is designed to pump the brakes when applying, so it has very little skid of the wheels. , But without Abs if you slam on the brakes, you will still have conventional brakes, But the vehicle will slide more or less straight and hinder steering. With Abs you can steer and brake at the same time. Some cars have a feature to turn Abs on or off on dash. So if its a medium size car, Just pull the fuse and see if brakes are ok. This will save you big $$$ BUCKS. I have a 09 kia spectra and no Abs. I have very little problems in snow or rain. It depends on how fast you drive. I live in new york state. Good-Day! Chevrolet captiva 2.0 lt poor mpg captiva has

I also have a Chevy Captiva 2L Diesel but with the auto box. The MPG on that one is abysmally bad! I bought it a few weeks ago with just under 30K miles on the clock (2007 model), and it returns around 230 miles on a full tank! That's around 17 MPG and probably on par with a Hummer!!
I was expecting the auto box to be less efficient than the manual of course but not to consume twice as much. Anyone out there with any ideas as to why this could be? I was actually already checking under the car to see if it loses fuel... We live in the suburbs and our trips can be considered a mix of urban and extra urban (they are admittedly on the short side and from a cold winter start; still, this doesn't justify the extremely low MPG). The car seems adequately powered for its weight and considering the small'ish engine and auto box.
Thanks!
