Question about 1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager

SOMETHING BLEW WHEN A SPARK APPEARED INSTALLING RADIO

I WAS GETTING SOME HELP INSTALLING AN AFTER FACTORY CD PLAYER IN MY 1996 PLYMOUTH GRAND VOYAGER. THE PERSON WAS MATCHING UP THE WIRING HARNESSES WITHOUT DICONNECTING THE BATTERY TERMINALS. THERE WAS A SPARK BECAUSE 2 WIRES ON THE HARNESS WERE TOUCHING AND MY DOME LIGHT IMMEDIATELY WENT OUT. I CHECKED ALL THE FUSES TO FIND THAT THEY WERE ALL GOOD. SOMEONE SAID IT MIGHT BE A RELAY, BUT HOW DO YOU FIND THE RADIO/DOME LIGHT RELAY IF THAT IS THE CASE, AND HOW DO YOU CHECK IT?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Check the fuse panel for any blown, loose or missing fuses. Otherwise this is likely a wring issue. Has the vehicle been serviced for wiring or something else that requires auxiliary power?

How to change the rear spark plugs of a 96 plymouth voyager

The engine plenum will have to be removed. This is what the air goes thru to get to the engine intake. Remove ground, mark tag remove required cable, wires and hoses, take digital photos as you go. Be patient. The good news is we don't have to change them every 20K miles.

SPARK THEN NO POWER TO SOME THINGS

Check all of the fuses and fusible link wires(smaller wires near battery + that are designed to blow like a fuse when there is a short or to much current draw) ; these wires are more flexible and have a softer coating and are usually heat tube sealed where they are joined to the standard wiring. Hope this helps!
