Question about Cars & Trucks
I have 2003 Auto Transmission Toyota Corolla. Bought couple of months back. It runs fine but Yesterday I notice that while taking a turn I pushed gas paddle really hard as there was incoming traffic and engine became very noisy and car became really slow. It was not going beyond 35 mph. If I paddle more Gas, engine was getting more noisy and was not accelerating as it normally does. Then I stopped the car for couple of mins and started it again. This time I let it accelerate as I normally do and it was working fine. Can it problem with auto transmission ? Please help

SOURCE: low idiling no power
Similar thing happened to me, but it ended up being a clutch on its last legs....Since you have an automatic, I'd guess its your Mass Air Flow sensor or throttlr body.

Have the tranny serviced with fluid change and filter, if noise it still there it is the torque converter . Have the dealer fix it ,and have it on paper with dealer invoice when it is done. Do all this before warranty expires. IT IS NOT USUAL for any car, Toyota included, to have tranny whine!!!!!
