if memory serves, you should be able to replace wheel stud by hammering it out backwards/inboard.then replacement is a case of pulling new stud through.

How to replace rear wheel stud. 2003 dodge caravan

Should be a pressed in wheel stud, remove hub and have old one pressed out or you can do it the primitive way, by double nutting the old stud and striking it with a hammer to pound it out, if threads are bad then just strike the stud by itself , then replace new stud in opposite fashion...

How to replace a wheel stud

You will have to remove your wheel hub, by removing the center cap, then removing it's retaining nut (it may have a cotter pin, or a crimped nut that you have to bend up to remove it). You will need a vise to press out the stripped stud. Use a socket that's a little larger than the stripped stud so the vise will press it out as you tighten it. To press in your new stud, use the same socket on the opposite side so the new stud presses into place when you tighten it. It's really a easy repair, but you do have to have the tools to do it. As long as you have a decent set of hand tools, and a vise, you will be just fine.

I hope this helps you, and I wish you luck on your repair.

Broke stud on front left side

Yes you can replace the broken wheel stud. The wheel studs are pressed into place, and a vise will work to press it out, and in. You will have to remove the wheel hub, and then use a deep well socket and a bolt or something smaller than the actual stud to remove it with a vise. To replace it, you will need to use the deep well socket on the thread side of the stud, and press the new one in with the vise.

I hope this helps you, and I wish you luck with your repair.

grab a large punch and hammer and knock out the old broken one. Push the new one in and re tighten. This will pull it into place and because it has splines it should not spin while doing so.
