2005 f150 supercrew no power to drivers door

I have a 2005 f150 supercrew and I have no power to drivers door power windod and locks and mirror do not work.Also power windows on all other doors do not work.What could be the problem.

    The power door lock on the passenger side still works,so do you still think it is the module and if so where is it located.

I have a 2005 ford f150 s/cab. The power windows, locks and mirrors won't work from the drivers door along with the other doors (I have a 4 door). Only by key-less entry (remote) does it lock and unlock....


The radio not turning off when you turn off your vehicle could have something to do with your ignition switch, and the accessory position on the ignition switch itself. On older vehicles, this becomes worn out, and a little sloppy. This in turn causes the ignition switch to provide power to the accessories even when it should not. It's a far shot in the dark, but It's a possibility.

I have a 2001 Ford F150 SuperCrew, the drivers side window is stuck in the down position. There is no sound of the motor. How do I get the door panel off. And is it an easy motor exchange?

The motor is easy to remove with a hole saw, if this is the motor that is causing the issue.

Best to remove the door panel, and apply power directly to the pigtail on the motor, 1 direction is up, reverse polarity is down.

2 things.

1. Broken ground in the rubber channel from the door to the a-pillar. This is a black wire in that loom.

2. Bad splice in the driver's side door sill. Some of the manufacturing plants used a splicing tape ( not the VA plant ) that looks like hockey tape. You will need to pull the door sill to see if the 3 wire splice is bad. This is usually on the Standard cab and SuperCrew models, have not see a splice issue with the SuperCab configuration yet.

Start with pulling the switch panel, and check from the black wire in the loom to a ground lug behind the kick panel on the driver's side by the parking brake.

Having electrical problems, power windows , locks. and mirrors dont work , when opening drivers door ,the radio stays on. maybe harness in door jam is the problem


This is usually a bad splice in the driver's side door sill to the VSM ( Vehicle Security Module ) behind the rear seat.
The splice for the std cab is closer to the a-pillar and the SuperCab / SuperCrew the splice is closer to the c-pillar

The Std Cab splice location ( Blue w/ White stripe wire )

As you can see there are a lot of wires in the door sill, it will take some time to locate the splice. The splice is 1 wire from 1 direction to 2 wires the other direction, and covered in something that looks & feels like hockey stick tape.

Corroded splice in the driver's side door sill

For the SuperCrew, the splice is closer to the c pillar where the wires turn up.

2005 f150 power locks and auto on headlamps stopped working and when door seal is broken radio stays on. battery was run dead. where do I start to isolate problem


Sounds like a splice problem in the driver's side door sill. This is some what common with the list of symptoms you have.

These are the 2 locations that people have found the problem with the splice

Std cab ( Blue w/ White stripe wire )

Have heard of the splice locations can vary ( closer or farther from the C-pillar ) but I have not seen this myself. There are quite a few wires in the loom to check through, but this is a good starting point.

The other place could be the ground wire to the VSM ( Vehicle Security Module - if installed ). This is behind the rear seat.

2005 f150 supercrew 4 door will unlock with door switch, remote keyless entry, and aftermarket remote starter control. will not lock with any device. No clicking under dash when trying to lock. Cannot...


in the drivers kick panel there will be a white with red wire, this is your lock wire, follow it and look for the splice that your aftermarket wire is connected, I think you will find that the wire is cut or not attached to the bcm side of your truck

i have a 05 ford f150 supercrew my power adjustable pedals didnt work my mirrors didnt work n the driver seat didnt work i found the problem i had a broken wire coming out of the #3 fuse block it it was orange with a green stripe it has some heat shrink on it i cut the heat shrink tape and the wire was badly corroded i replace the splice with 18 gauge wire and and everything came back on good as new
