If its a groaning noise and its worse when cold it might be the power steering fluid is low, as the vehicle warms up the level rises and the pump stops sucking air, check the power steering fluid first

SOURCE: power steering dont work to left or right

To find out witch it is,pump or rack and pinion, break loose the presure line on the power steering pump with a wench.Start the car and turn the steering wheel back and forth, you may need to loosen the nut on the power steering hose two or three turns to get the fluid to shoot out.It should come out pretty forceful. If it doesn`t,then replace the pump.If it does come out really powerful, replace the rack and pinion.

What in the hell is a saterer or faywell? What is a noes wall stearing?

I am guessing you have noise coming from your steering pump. This is most likely caused by a faulty steering pump. If there is a leak, you can try to top off the pump with steering fluid and "burp" the system by turning the steering wheel all the way to the left and then right with someone topping it off. If the sound goes away, check for where it is leaking.

1999 ford explorer limited whining noise in front end

Whining noise is probably in one of the pulleys or belts. Probably the power steering. And the popping is probably CV axles.

We have loud whining noise in the front end that goes away when we steer right

You may have failed hub bearings on the right side. When you steer ,you change the load on the bearings which makes the noise change or dis-appear.These bearings support the outside axle shaft.

Vibration in front end loud motor boat sound. goes away when wheel turned to right or left

dear friend-the noise you hear comes from the power steering pump.if the fluid appeares to be pink, drian the system and clean out container.make sure there is no black visible in the tank.refill and try again.
