I would check a few things. first the engine mounts. make sure the engine isn't rocking over. second cruise control ? if it has cruise control I would unhook the cable to the throttle from the cruise control and see if that was the issue. some times the control box will pull in deceleration mode and stick there. also the decelerator valve on the throttle body may be defective.
This sounds like a weak pump, this all depends on how the pump is working it may have had that little extra power for a while and then back to bad. these caravan tranys are junk, the problems with these trany date way back, the trany will soon blow up and then you will spend more money , you will need a case for it,
The ecm would not cause this, it sounds like someone did a poor rebuild, if the engining is reving and the car doesnt what to go then the clutches may be bad, a mass are flow would not cause a trany to go bad, the flashing hold light is a problem but should not be happening after the trany was just rebuilt, something is not right here, the trany was just rebuilt and now the hold light flashes and the motor rev going into 2nd gear, that trany has problems a bad ecm wouuldnt cause this slipping reving problem you are having , i would have a trany shop check to see if that trany was really rebuit.
You pinched the fuel line????
If you crank for too long to start the car, the engine will "flood", this is why the plug was wet. It had too much gas and wouldn't start.
Pull out ALL plugs and dry them off.
HOLD your gas pedal to the floor and crank.
This will stop gas from entering the engine.
you need to get that extra gas out beofre it will start.
If you have so much gas in there you can do damage to your engine!!
Now after a few crnaking attempts with your foot to the floor, take your foot of the gas pedal and try to start it again.
But remember if it doesn't start in 3 tries, you need to do the pedal to the floor once or twice to remove the excess gas.
When you crank the car to start it sprays gas into the engine, even if it won't start. So it very easy to "flood" the engine, and then you'll have a hard time to get it going!
first thing is to make sure trany fluid is full, start engine and check while in park,if oil level is good then i would have to say trany is bad, usually the motors are pretty good, those cars are famous for trany problems take it to a trany shop and have it checked out. good luck.
saffety is n0 1 this is a major work you neded to be careful, here some sugestions 1 raise the car with a car jack ind the front of car 2 instal 2 jack stands eacht side 3 bloc the rear weels pull on hand brake 4 disconect the batterie drain the transmision . if there is no drain plug on the carter, disconect one of the trani line and crank the engine on until all the fluid goes out.5remove the tires and the axles unplug all the electircal attachements to the trani, unhook the shift cable 6 remove the torque converter bolts or nuts 7remove all the bolts attaching the trany to the engine make sure you have a floor jack to receive the trany when it fail down do not work under the car or check it to mutch
