Question about Cars & Trucks
I broke the entire steering coloumn to where the whole steering wheel moves in a complete circle and its not conected unless i move the steering wheel position up and pull steering wheel out then it locks in place but while driving it will come out of place again making it where i cannot make left and right turns until i pull out on steering wheel again. I need to know how to replace the entire steering wheel if anyone can help me. ive looked in all the manuals and cannot find my exact prob. Thank you so much.
Maybe the coupling on bottom of column that connects to the rack and pinion came loose. The coupling may be held tight by a pinch bolt.

Sounds like the begining of a bad rack n pinion. We can eliminate the pump because the car turns to the right fine. There is no loss of fluid? The only thing left is the rack. It is a fairly commin issue. Use to call it morning sickness, The cars would be hard to turn in the morning or when first started but after running and warming up for a while they would start to work properly.

was the ignition switch getting hard to turn with the key for a while or did this just all of a sudden happen usually the problem has been going of for a while but people just ignore it until it gets to this point,it sounds like the tumblers in the ignition key switch have gone bad and the tumbler assembly needs to be replaced, the new tumbler assembly can keyed to the original key if the key is not worn out.this should be replaced with a new key if it is.
