What does it mean when the red temperature light starts blinking on my toyota corolla verso. The car is not overheating

If the coolant temp light is on then there is an issue. You don't say on what basis you believe the engine is not overheating but in any event take the car to a mechanic and get an independent temp gauge hooked up to the system to check coolant temperatures.

If the engine is in fact overheating, because the coolant temp is too hot, you will cause expensive engine damage if the cause is not identified and fixed.

2003 vw 18.t temp lights goes on but temp gauges read normal

If your coolant overflow is bubbling then regardless of what your gauge says you are having overheating issues. If your coolant is missing with no aparent leaks then you need to check your oil for a milky consistency and apearance which would most likely point to a blown head gasket. This would also explain overheating. Hope this helps

Engine coolant level light wont go off

What's the dash temp gauge say? Is it really overheating, or does it need to be filled to the very top, like mine. Then the light went off.

Temp gauge light come on stating hot temp coolant, no steam from radiator, no light runs fine if heat is not on

Your engine is either overheating or your light is malfunctioning. The coolant may not necessarily "steam" from the radiator because the engine is overheating. The purpose of the light is to warn you of an overheating condition before it gets bad enough to cause your coolant to blow out the radiator cap. Severe engine damage can result from overheating. I would recommend having this problem diagnosed by a qualified technician that has the proper equipment required to to test and verify that your cooling system is functioning properly.

2002 malibu runs hot.

Sounds like you have a faulty head gasket or maybe a cracked head. This can cause overheating and the check engine light to come on.The code for the o2 sensor is probably caused by coolant getting into the exhaust system and coating the sensor. The coolant fan may work but it cannot remove enough heat from the rad to make the engine cool off.Try some engine coolant stop leak to see if it will help. This maybe only a temperary fix.Let me know if you need more.MOE

97 saturn sl2 temp light flashing and low coolant light flashing what could be the problem ? coolant is full and the heat works.

If the temp gauge is reading normal, the lights are flashing, and the coolant level is full, the level sensor in the coolant bottle is the problem. I'm a service consultant for a Saturn dealer and I've run across this many times.
