Ppm is very high

Do you mean RPM? The vehicle is idling too high? It's probably a vacuum air leak---check all your air lines to make sure they are connected to the right place, and not cracked or broken.

Most vehicles run at a high RPM for a couple minutes until they are warmed up, and then it should drop down to normal idle speed.

My 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan, Sport, 3.3, makes a growling like noise after I shut off the engine. The maintenance shop suggested to replace the alternator. I have been looking up some common alternator...

THE ALTERNATORS ON THESE VEHICLES HAVE AN OVERRUNNING CLUTCH ON THE PULLEY,AND CAN MAKE A NOISE WHEN SHUT OFF VEHICLE..OPEN THE HOOD,SART ENGINE,THEN GET SOMEONE ELSE TO SHUT ENGINE OFF..LOOK INTO SLOTS OF ALTERNATOR AND SEE IF INTERNAL OF ALTERNATOR STILL SPINS FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS AFTER ENGINE IS SHUT OFF..I HAVE SEEN THIS PROBLEM BEFORE..IF SO..REPLACE ALTERNATOR

Bring it to the auto zone parts store and have them hook up the OBD II code reader to point you in the right direction. This may be a O2 densor or a throttle position sensor or a MAF sensor the code reader will help determine this.

2001 dodge caravan sport, v6 quit running as I was driving down the road. It will start but only run at 2 / 300 rpm at idle, very shaky. Can not drive it live this, no power.

Sounds like your gas filter is clogged....if you want to do this at home, locate the filter, remove it and blow into it, if you can't blow through it, then replace it because it's bad...if you can blow clean through it with no resistance then it fine...chances are it's clogged.

2001 grand caravan high rpm at 70 mph

It sounds like the last gear in your transmission may not be engaging. Caravans are actually famous for tranny problems. Furthermore, be sure to check your transmission fluid while your vehicle is idling. That ensures accuracy. But you may have to get someone to physically look at it to ensure your problem gets solved. Kind of risky diagnosing something so big through typing.
