This all depends on what engine you have and also if you are going to just do the belt.
this car , if you have a 100,000 miles or close you should do the job right, right meaning replace the timing belt ,water pump and timing belt pulleys and tensioner, this could run about $1200.00.

the same job with the smaller engine could be $800.00

if you just do the belt alone which is not the right way but can be done then it may cost about $500.00 -$600.00

SOURCE: I need the diagram for

The Sorento has a timing BELT not a chain. Here is an image of the 3.5 litre engine & the timing marks. Note: special tools are required to hold the camshaft sprockets in place when belt is installed to prevent any movement....I hope this helps.

SOURCE: How do I change the spark plugs in a 2006 Kia

Unless you are mechanic, you better have the dealer do this. The manifold is in the way and must be removed to gain access. Fortunately, with long life spark plugs, you will probably need to do this only once.

Apparently this is a recall matter and will be fixed at no charge. KIA Consumer Assistance Center 1-800-333-4542. Recall notices were to go out in May/June 2009.

Does v6 sorento have timing belt

Your 06 Kia, with 3.5L engine V-6, has a timing belt, Kia recommends replacing every 60,000 miles, this is an interference engine, which piston to valve damage will occur due to timing belt failure, hope this was very helpful.

How to change a timeing belt on a 2006 Kia Sorento?

Kia engines are interference engines. If the Timing belt is not done exactly right you will destroy your engine. I don't recomend anyone do a timing belt unless you allready know exactly how to do it right.
I have done many , and made a SMALL mistake on my mazda last month and ended up having to rebuild the head and replace valves , guides , and seals.
