1999 dodge durango will not start

My 1999 dodge durango v8 5.2 started shutting off when put into reverse then yesterday morning we started it to warm it up and it shut off. Now it will turn over but does not seem to be firing. It doesnt even seem like its trying to start it just turns over. It also blew a multi fuse. I replaced the spark plugs because one had been repaired by the previous owner. Any suggestions

Sensor on backside of throttle body two hex screws gently remove as you can break brass fitting spray with throttle body cleaner till it comes clean open throttle all the way spray butterflies till they are clean imediately drive five miles as it takes ecu that far to relearn sensor five miles no less

This sounds like the transmission is seizing or locking up in reverse.

I have a 1999 dodge durango that will start first thing in the morning when its cold but once it warms up and you turn the ignition off it will not start again till it cools down.

Have you checked your coolant level? Does the temperature gauge run in the red zone? IF the coolant is low refill with 50/50 mixture when engine is cool. Check for leaks on radiator and hoses running to and from the radiator . If the fluid is fine, watch the temperature guage. If it goes in to the red the thermostat/sensor may be bad and thinks it is over heating and will not let you start the car until it thinks its cool enough to do so. It will also do this when coolant is low.

Ac blows warm air after it cool the cabin

My Durango did the same and it was a high pressure switch bad. If you stand at the front of vehicle it is located on the left side next to the radiator support by the radiator. There is a rubber flap you may have to lift to see it. Switch was a dealer item $ 40.00 I have not had no more problem out of it.
Mine would cycle on and about the time it would get cold the compressor would shut down, it may start a little later or it may be the next day before it would get cold again and then would shut down.

2000 dodge durango 5.9 my horn and cruise control don't work. the fuses are good.

disconnect the plug to the horn then install a new fuse if the fuse does not blow out replace the horn. Do the reverse if the fuse does not blow out to the cruise. if the cruise is blowing fuses the unit may be seized up somewhere maybe the cable or actuator is corroded.

Check the fuel pump when you turn the key forward but dont crank it and see if you hear the fuel pump engaging. I hope this helps.
