Question about 1994 Ford Explorer Limited
1994 mazda 4.0 v6 same as ford misfiring. Retrieved trouble code 172 EGO not switching lean exhaust bank 1. Could an oxygen sensor cause the engine to miss? Is this code pointing to another problem? Need help, can't figure this out. I've been to this site twice for the same problem, I originally thought it could be the cam position sensor but I installed it correctly and am now getting the trouble code 172. Is the cam sensor still the culprit? 172 is the only trouble code I get.
Yes an o2 sensor can cause the mixture to go lean or rich. But you have another culprit also a knock sensor can cause this also. for the miss this is more of what the knock sensor would control. Hope this helps you
