My 2003 Toyota 4Runner with 127,600 4X4, V6, check engine light (CEL), Vehicle Skid Control (VSC), and VSC off light went on. Went to Autozone and they did OBDII check. The Trouble Code was showing P0355 Ignition Coil "E" Primary/Secondary Circuit
Malfunction. "E" means cylinder 5, so I went to check the ignition coil at 5th cylinder and unscrewed from block and the connector slip-off and appear to have not been on all the way. I started the truck and still recieved Trouble code until I disconnected the battery for 30 minutes. It started again and the service lights never cam back on. It runs just like it had before great. Check all the connectors before ordering ignition coils.

This sounds like two problems, the virbrating brakes is due to plusating brakes and this is caused by out of round brake rotors, you will need to have the rotors machined down ture again and this will take care of the vibration when braking. the engine and vsc lights are on because the trucks computer picked up a problem. when everthe check engine light comes on the computer shuts down the vsc because if the engine is not running good then the vsc can not operate correctly and so the computer turns of that system and turns on the light and the engine light is turned on due to a problem. there are so many reasone the engine light could be on for, you will need to have the computer scanned for codes. when the computer detects a problem it stores a code that will tell you which part or sensor is failing or failed. this could be as simple as a loose gas cap or may be a sensor but without scanning its hard to know whats wrong. there are many autopart stores like autozone for example that will scan the codes and give you a print out of the codes. for example there may be a code like po301 cylinder 1 misfire detected, this would mean cylinder 1 is mis firing and then with a little checking you can find out why this is. if you could get the codes and let me know them i would be able to help you further, good luck and have a good day.
As long as it does'nt stay on it's doing what it's suposed to be doing which is saving you from going out of control. It'll come on more often if you drive like hell, run with low tracktion tires or worn out ones and if the air pressure is low. If your tires have over 80,000 miles on them even if the tread is still good their bad tires as their skating along and the trackstion system is working hard to keep the car under control. If the tires aren't al the same size it'll do it to. ( fronts worn out backs still with tread.) Mis matched tires too. Ifthe light stays on other light's are bound to be coming on too the ABS light the brake light, and even the engine light as their all involved in traction control.
For some reason on Toyota and some Lexus vehicles certain check engine light CEL issues also result in the ECU lighting up the vsc trac and vsc off lights. The ECU actually switches these anti skid and anti lock brake systems off and the lights are to remind you that they are disabled.
1) Check that the fuel cap is on securely
2) Check the oxygen sensors on the exhaust, check that connections are clean and there are no missing wires.
3) Have someone check the on-board diagnostic codes if the CEL is still on
NEED TO HAVE COMPUTER CHECK FIND WHAT CODE MADE THE ENGINE KLIGHT COME ON.. AND HAVE IT FIXED,, VSC LIGHTS COME ON BECAUSE THE COMPUTER DEACTIVATES THE VSC AS A SAFETY FEATURE WHEN CK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON
