Question about 1998 Ford Explorer
Can move seat all the way back but it only moves 2 inches to the front
Found problem. Rail that the seat belt moves on as the seat is moved front to back was binding. Plastic had a nick in it and as the seat moved the seat belt caught in it and stopped the seat assembly from moving forward. It looks like 10 years of wear on the plastic caused the problem. Now I have to replace the part if available. Thanks.

Sounds like youve got a kiddy toy stuck in the rail ,4 bolts and the seats out !! BE CARFUL of the spring loaded slider ( if it is spring loaded ) it will *** you if given the chance.
