I have the same problem but by banging on the door panel did not work. Could this be a wiring problem? or maybe a fuse? Does anyone know how much it runs to fix the problem?

This could be a bad up/down switch or wiring connection ,but more than likely its a bad spot on the armature of the window motor.A temporary fix so you can at least get the window up is to hold the UP button while banging on the interior door panel in the motor location which is usually kind of centered vertically and forward of center horizontally.

The driver side window will not come back up. the

I have this problem in my Buick Park Avenue. The two passenger side windows and the driver window work fine, but the rear driver side window won't close if it's opened. I disconnected the wire from inside the door to avoid further problems.

First try helping the window up, by gently pulling on it while you push the button. If this doesn't work and your vehicle is still under warranty, take it back to the place of purchase, the window motor will need to be serviced or replaced.

Passanger side window went down and won't come back up.

I had both window regulators die in my 2002 Jeep grand Cherokee, once while i was operating the automatic driver's side window and another time the passenger side just dropped down and stayed there while it was parked at work and I came out to no window. The Dealership charged $200 to fix it. Ouch.

2002 cadillac escalade driver side back window stuck.

If you cannot operate the window from either switch, I'd first test switch continuity and operation, both front and rear. If they both pass muster , I'd have to say the fault lies behind the door trim, probably the motor, which also be tested once reaching that point..

Possible window fuse blown?

if the fuse is blown none of the windows will work,it sound wierd but all the power to the window motors runs through the drivers side switch. the drivers side switch may be your culprit.to be sure check to see if you have power goin in to the other switches before you replace the drivers side switch.
