Question about 1995 Volkswagen Golf
Need radio code for a 1995 VW Golf. Tried to install another radio, and found it difficult. Put original back in and is not working without a code.
I just replied to someone having the same problem with a Honda and saw one of the sponsors pop up in the Ads by Google box to the right that may help. I think with Hondas you have to go to the dealership where the car/radio was originally purchased and give them some numbers from the radio. The sponsor may charge to get the number for you but it may be worth a few bucks if that is the only solution. I didn't catch the web address or name - sorry.

Get the radio serial number off the side of the radio. Its stamped in the metal. Then call any VW dealership with your VIN number and the radio serial number and they can look it up for FREE and give you the code.
Only your Radio Code and you VIN go together. You can just get a code from someone to work.
