1,) you will need to jack up the rear wheel your changing the pads on first.
2.) remove the wheel (tire)
now its braking pads or shoes I'll post for both..
for Breaking shoes (its the one with the drum instead of the roator
1.) remove the drum lid (you may need to adjust the piston lever to get it off in the back of the dru is a small gear which you will have to turn to loosen it.
2.) remove the shoes and put in the new ones.
3.) put back on the drum and readjust the piston head using the same gear, to test it, drop the handbrake and turn the drom with your hands or a lever, have someone step on the brake pedal and it should stop and be hard to turn (not at all with your hands). with the brake unpressed it should run smoothly..
For Break Pads.
1.) loosen the caliper and lift the one end off.
2.) remove the break pads and insert the new ones
3.) replace the caliper..
for both.
replace the wheel and lower the jack.

The spring attached to the middle of back brake which has the parking cable connected to it thru the hole,the spring holds it in place.
