I would have to say its the switch. if you can take the switch bezel off with out taking off the door panel, then you can unhook the wires and chk. to see if could be the window motor. most major auto parts stores have web sites that can walk you thru this process.

Check the fuse box for the power window relay if there is one. Pull it out and swap it for another one in the fuse box then try your windows. If that fixes it it was jut a relay.

DS window on 2011 Toyota Tacoma pickup is not working. Just replaced the 30a fuse & the window stated going down. Now the other windows work, however the drivers window will not go back up. 30

if there is noise coming from the driver side window is down why you pushing the control button for upwards means the window motor / regulator needs to be replaced. If there is nothing the main control switch for the windows may need to be replaced

One day the power window would not roll down but the power locks on the same side work fine.It also will not roll down withe the button on the drivers side.. 2005 GMC Envoy

The power locks have absolutely nothing to do with the power windows - totally different circuits.

The FIRST thing to check is to make sure that the window lockout button on the driver's door control switch is not turned on. This will keep all of the windows from operating except the driver's window.

Other than that, there are several things that can cause a power window to not roll down. It can be a power window lift motor, a window regulator, the window switches, or any of the wiring in between. Also, you did not mention which window is not working. BOTH of the FRONT windows are equipped with Door Control Modules (DCM) which, in turn, are controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM). If it is the front window you are talking about, it will be necessary to scan your BCM for fault codes to determine the source of the problem. If it is one of the rear windows, this can be checked by regular electrical testing and a scanner should not be necessary.

MY 2006 DOdge ram Thunder Road's windows dont work. They used to work i bought the truck new. All of a sudden all the windows from every control dont roll down their own windows as well as the driver side...

your truck also has power relays working with the fuses. each door has its on circuit except the main controller in drivers side door. if u cannot control anything from drivers side then look at the relays for possible cause to your problem.

check and see if the window lock feature is flipped on. its located on driver door panel. this will preven the windows from working except from driver control.

Passenger electric window

Hi Ethel101
I think that what has happened with your vehicle, is that the master (driver control) switch has become defective....If you have a friend who is good with electronics you may be able to ask for help in getting it fixed....otherwise a new unit is needed.
