Question about 1999 Mercury Villager
I have a 1999 mercury villager, the driver side window will go down but not back up...I am sure I need a new motor for it, but right now I just need to know how to get it up, until I can get a new motor for it. Please help!
Your motor is probably fine. The problem is the switch. Mine did the same thing about 50,000 miles ago. You can easily take apart the switch and clean the small metal contacts. That should work for a while. Mine stopped working again and I had to replace the switch module. Less than $100 for a new one, probably even less if you can find one in a junk yard. To remove it just take out the phillips screw at the bottom of the door pull and the whole trim piece comes out with thte switch. Unplug it and carefully take it apart. Good Luck.
