92 Subaru Legacy Power Windows Don't Work

My husband's 92 Subaru Legacy is having problems with his power windows have all stopped working but the driver's side. What causes this? Is there a cheap way to fix? Thanks!

My Subaru 2000's windows stopped working -- except for the driver's side. I've checked each fuse under the dashboard and hood--none was burned out. I'm thinking it might be a connection behind or near the glove box. Does anyone know if there is a wiring connection back there that I could access from inside the car?

    Thanks,

    Lo

I have a 92 that did the same. After checking fuses and the relay(located under drivers seat) I discovered that the power windows control module on drivers door was bad. Went to a salvage and bought a used for $40, pulled the door panel, unscrewed and unplugged the old one, put in the used one and everything worked fine. About a week later, the passenger side motor went out and replaced that with a used power window motor. All windows now work fine.

I have the exact same problem as LoKlo.

Drivers window works but none of the others.

Also, rear passenger is stuck down.

Windows and sunroof will not work and its not regs and its not power window switch

Check fuses. Sounds like a power supply problem or a common ground problem. You may need to source a wiring diagram to check properly. Good luck!

I have a 92 subaru legacy and the park lights stay on when the ignition is off, and the key is hard to turn.

Your ignition switch is faulty and needs replacement this is why the power stays on to power up the lights!

1995 subaru legacy L wagon. drivers side master power window switch stopped working. others work fine. how do I track down the exact problem. it's not a fuse.

You just did. Its the master switch. Buy a switch from a large parts store, use a flat tip screwdriver to remove switch then install new switch. This should take you about 20 mins. Super Easy

2005 Subaru Legacy electrical repair question?

The #3 fuse does service both windows and door locks and #2 services a control module that affects door locks. Inspect them closely since the fuse element can crack when blowing and this is much harder to see. Pull a least #3 and plug it back in in case the contact blades have stopped comunicating with the mating connector.

To troubleshoot this effectively, you really need a cheap multimeter and the Haynes service manual for your car, #89101.
The manual has very good electrical diagrams in section 12 so you can logically trace the problem. They are available at most every auto parts chain store and cost ~ $20-25 US.
