Question about 2006 Kia Sorento

I have a 2006 kia sorento and the heat panel does not light up and i can't adjust the temps, fans, nothing!  i'm freezing!

    yes, only 35,000 miles, could it just be a fuse?  it's also only 2 degrees here!

    i read on another site, that in the fuse box, in the engine there is a yellow fuse (plastic) and to pull it out for 30 sec.  i did that and it works fine now.  weird!

Well it's worth checking , there is a fuse in the under hood fuse block labeled F/BLW , its for the front heater / air conditioner blower , and there is a TSB , technical service bulletin on the lights for the HVAC control unit , but this vehicle is covered under the 60k base warranty . i don't know if i would want to go to much farther than checking that fuse , taking the HVAC control out might void any warranty , be careful . do you have the owners manual to help you identify the F/BLW fuse under the hood ? if not i would ask the dealer to supply you with one , as there wasn't one at the time of purchasing your vehicle and maybe they will give you one . good luck with replacing the fuse , hope it works for you since it's so cold .

Here is some stolen text:
"There is an adjustment screw for both headlights. I too have HIDs and I love them. Clockwise lowers the beam and Counterclockwise raises them. You can find measuring specifics online. check valves put screwdriver to valve cover and put your on it if ticking adjust valves. mike

Kia sorento 2007 light reads temps means

check rad to see if full of prestone or if the rad fans are coming on with ac on or after ran for 15 mins possible thermostat stuck, vbelt slip, or off low prestone even waterpump broke find out what it is follow the steps first

How do i reset timing on my 2006 kia sorento

engine timing is computer controlled and has no adjustments.If you have a timing issue then the timing belt is not on correctly,may have jumped a tooth out of time.

2004 Kia Sorento squealing from hood

I also have an 04 Sorento and LOVE it. I live in northern indiana where it is super cold in the winters and just this year my truck started squealing when temps got low and when the heat is on. My dad has also changed the belts, even though they looked fine. that didn't fix the problem. I was searchng for some answers and it seems that many people are having this same issue with sorentos. Its super annoying and like you sid embarassing! I love my truck, but HATE this sound! if you find anything else out, please post! Thanks!

p0454 erratic evap pressure sensor signal
p0122 throttle position sensor circuit low
p0113 intake air temp signal low
p0305 cyl #5 missfire
i would look for a short or open wire somewere
i checked TSBs from kia and none pertain to you
clear codes and drive then check to see if they come back. then repost

Apparently this is a recall matter and will be fixed at no charge. KIA Consumer Assistance Center 1-800-333-4542. Recall notices were to go out in May/June 2009.
