Jeep cherokee fuel delivery problems

I jeep started to shut off will driving and if I just restarted it got going again. The frequency started to increase until it started to act up at start up and now it just cranks and cranks.  The last time this happen was 10 miles away at the mall.  I bought some starting fuel and sprayed it into the air intake duct and it started and I was able to get home.  What are some ideas to test ?

Either a Fuel Delivery problem or an Air intake problem. Possibly spark. Try this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQGSkWEC_u4

My 88 jeep starts ,and its normal for about 1 min. then just shuts off !

You may have a problem with the fuel delivery being a fuel pump that's going bad or a restricted fuel filter that can't keep up with volume of fuel needed to keep your vehicle running. I'd start by having your fuel pressure tested

I have a 1990 Jeep Cherokee Starts then shuts off

Sounds like insufficient fuel delivery. Likely problem is the fuel filter is plugged.

Abrupt stall

Take air intake duct off at throttle body and spray WD-40 into throttle body with plate open, then try to start, if it fires up for a second, then dies, it's a fuel delivery problem.

Jeep grand cherokee 97 shutting off while driving

It may not be the same problem But, My Jeep would quit until it cooled down and then I could start it and it would run again. Did this on and off for weeks. Turned out that it was the sending unit in the fuel tank. Cold fuel, no problem. warm fuel it would shut off. Cost me $500. Hope this helps, Good Luck
