There should be either an allen key or a 13mm head bolt holding the battery clamp at the front of the battery. If this is removed, it should come out ok with a shake. i would advise help to lift the battery out as it can damage your back due to the location near the bulkhead.

That's not a problem. It should function that way to keep your car from draining the battery.

Battery dies on 2003 A4 audi

HI there,

I had the same problem with mine. Managed to determine that it was the rear brake light switch that caused a short. This meant that once the car was turned off power was being drained. We thought it might be the computer module shutting down which can take up to 10/30 minutes. But No. Replaced with a new Brake Light Switch, Problem Solved

Your ignition switch could be bad. If so, the car could confused about what to start and when, and also explain why your panel isn't working.

It's a common problem for the switch to go bad. You can buy a new one on Ebay cheap, however the replacement is not easy.

Hi, what radio model have you got in your car ?
I have a few old units with good screens & they should be easy enough to fit.
Well a lot easier than a fitting a screen to a mobile phone, though you will need small Torx screw drivers.
