Is it the fan switch or the heater selection that is the problem? I have a 1st generation Dakota that had a fan relay switch go bad in the summer so my fan wouldn't work at all. I think the same switch could cause your fan to only work on high as well. The relay only cost me about 7 bucks at Dodge dealer and plugged right into the firewall on the passenger side.

If the blower motor only works on high then it is the blower motor resistor. The link has pictures how to find and change it. The part is about $12.00

Hi, some times the internal flaps can stick or not work as they should because of obstruction, can you check the vacuum hoses to the heater box are all clear. If you can check for tree leaves that may have entered through the air intake as they can be a real problem.P

I have no heat in my car

check to see if you've blown a fuse. In most cars the fuse box is right near the driver's seat, usually somewhere in a corner under the dash. they're little things so use those tweezers that are in there. the heater should be one with a high value. I have an assorted bag of these in my glove compartment. Easy and quick to fix it you've done it before. Your owners manual will tell you where that fuse is. Also, many cars label the holes where the fuse goes as to what it protects. Some of the little box covers have diagrams on them. You'll need that little flashlight.

Heat stopped working in 2000 pontiac sunfire

With blower on high and tempature to max heat check to see if you have good air flow in all mode selections (defrost, vent, floor etc.). If so and you still have no heat then check heater core hose going from engine to inside car to heater core with vehicle running and coolant tempature about half on guage. If both hoses are hot and coolant in radiator/overflow bottle is full then hot cold blend door is stuck in cold position. If coolant level is low you will get no heat, check coolant level first.

How do I remove 1996 honda accord heater fan switch? I'm not sure if I need a new switch. Heater fan works only on high speed "4"

if the fan/motor only works on max No 4 setting ? then may i suggest you have a resistor fault or commonly known as a reostat in uk this is the component that provides the relevent reduced speeds on selection but when it fails only max speed works so you should find this unit attached on heater fan exterior if you follow wires from actual motor it will connect to the resistor unit ? then onward to switch control it is not to difficult diy and if you have access to manual/ it will give location/access for renewing? hope this helps/inspires you to diy ?

Audi a6 heaters not given out hot air

this is more than likely a problem with your thermostat in the cooling system .heres a few things to check to be sure make certain your blower fan is on high and temp setting is in the hottest setting check to see if   air is coming from your heater ducts  also be sure to thoroughly let the engine warm up 10 to 20 minutes  before checking. if the air is blowing but  luke warm still your thermostat is stuck in the open position  and will cause the engine to run to cold and performance will also suffer as will your heat will not be sufficient  to heat the passenger compartment  this repair should cost no more than $150 max to replace buy a repair shop    this is a  common problem in older cars and this is generally   a quick  repair to be made  for almost any repair facility  should take under 45 minutes to complete once repair is started

Heater gauge

The sensor is normally found on the lower radiator tank and before getting too quick to buy one, check the connection of it first. Some have a quick disconnect in the body of the sensor, others have a 'pigtail' that has a connector at the end of it.
Simple corrosion can cause loss of contact. If it has two leads, one will be ground so disturb both. If it has one lead, loosen the sensor a little (half turn or so) and re-tighten to clean the grounded side of it.
Typically, loss of the ground is what can cause the temp gauge to peg on the high side.

Can get no heat

If the car is a 2000-2003 then first of all by disconenecting the battery you sometimes have to reprogram the heater control panel. This is done by running the a/c fans on hi and temp on lowest setting, then press and hold the temp settings to hot and continue to hold 10 seconds after it reaches max, then back to cold and hold for 10 secs, back to hot and hold for 10 secs then back to cold.
If this does not fix the problem then more and likely the car is going to need a heater control valve which is located on the right front lower corner of the radiator.
In replacing the heater valve you should also take off the heater pipes (quick connect) going into the heater matric and flush the system through, the system with time gets clogged and can prevent the coolant to flow freely and can also damage the heater pump assy which is next to the heater valve.
Hope this helps
Thanks and good luck
