A Blown head Gasket will cause the Symtoms described above. Check your Water Pump and Thermostat also.

How can I jump the starter on my 91 camaro?

hot wire starter you can short out ignition switch and wiring. to jump starter ignition switch start have to run 10 gauge jumper wire from the starter solenoid positive battery terminal to starter switch or S terminal on starter solenoid this procedure take two people but better remove starter replace starter solenoid. trying jumping off starter on camaro would be dangerous you have jack up car to get to starter and wiring person laying under car hot wiring starter while other person hold ignition start position put person under car in deadly position just remove starter have auto parts check it out first replace starter or solenoid if either bad. easier hot wire starter if starter under hood like my 1977 vega monza had starter at top could take long screw driver jump starter off.on the four cylinders engines back in the 70s. camaro starter under car dangerous trying to hot wire not a good idea.

96 Dodge Runs fine but after warms up it dies, cools n will crank n run good then dies again after warming up.

Hey Dennis,, DON"T BECOME A PARTS REPLACER..(some people who "call themselves mechanic's" are just that!),.. .take this Dodge to a qualified professional... talk to them..
You say warm... do you mean full running temp?? .if so, you may be experiencing a vapor lock,, fuel "boils" when the engine is hot.. when it cools its no longer hot enough to cause this..(S.W.A.G.)

1998 grand prix low coolant light keeps coming on thermostat, hoses, radaitor, and intake gaskits have been replaced...the radaitor is full everytime i check it

If the engine is running well and not running hot, chances are that the coolant level sensor has failed. You can either replace it or ignore the warning light and just check the level as "routine maintenance"
while checking your oil and other fluids weekly as every good vehicle owner does and has done since there were cars to drive.

Hi. I have noticecd in the past week or so that after my honda 96 civic gets to running temperature, the overflow reservoir bottle starts boiling and bubbling. this then drains the bottle completely. i...

sounds like you have an airlock.with engine running and hot, undo the clip on the highest hot hose(wear rubber gloves)and vent off any air trapped.make sure the expansion bottle is full before.and 1/2 full after.

Chevrolet 1995 Camaro radiator over heat but shows

How do you know it is really hot?
It is boiling over, or just gauge?
Gauge could be bad, use thermometer to verify.

But whenever engine gets too hot, thermostat is always ruined and needs replacement, regardless what caused it and may also be wrong.

Less common cause can be head gasket. In car radiator pressure test can detect that. Pump it up to 17 lb or whatever the cap is rated to, and if if is leaks down. Or run the engine, and see if pressure pulses of goes over cap rating.

Least common is a loose bearing in water pump can cause it to bind.

I have a 96 camaro 3800 v6 it stumbles and misses when taking off and when in full throttle, but once you get past 2000 rpm its fine

4.3L for some reason tend to have problems with the fule pressur regulator. its a smoll round metal valve. you will fined it on the driverside fuel rail. also replace your fule filter and run an injection cleaner through the tank. hope this helps.

1996 Camaro won't start

My 94 z28 Camaro misfires whne shes hot, I got her on a diagnostic and they told me that the distributor {optispark unit} was reading faulty and that I needed to replace this before they could go further $1100 quoted, ye right, I bought one for new at $169, they quoted me $400 just for the unit, anyway, I havent installed it yet, Found out that backfiring could also be a module, well I have the dizzy now so I may as well get the module as well. Will let you know. I went to start my car today, it started briefly then died, I thought the dizzy had completely died. Checked fuses and connectors, It cranked over but wouldn't fire. Decided to surf for info on the net. 1 hour later I went back out and tried again, It fired up and ran, Must have had a gremlin, all seems to be back where it was now, Summary, go make some lunch and come back to it, nothing to lose except some time. {If still fails, check Air flow sensor, may be clogged}
