2.5 voyager crd on 52 plate

Both front heated seats do not work , there is power to the switch but nothing comes through seat
Also one of the rear electric windows will not open
And I need to re set my radio code

Get a local mechanic to have a look ,sounds like a big fat northerner has owned this car and squashed the elements in the seat.replace the rear electric motor in the door for the window .and radio code should be in the cars books if not you will have to remove and post chassis number of radio and make so this poofty southerner can generate a code for you

Rear Seat Switches
There are three push button switches that are used to operate the power folding seat; front stow switch, rear stow switch, and recline switch. The front stow switch is located in the right rear quarter trim panel just behind the second row seat. The rear stow and recline switches are located in the right rear trim panel just inside the liftgate. Battery positive voltage is supplied at all times to all three switches from the FFS SW Fuse located in the left rear fuse block. The folding seat will operate only in a supervised mode, i.e. press and hold the selected switch button through the entire cycle of operation, or release the switch when the desired seat position is reached. When any folding seat switch is pressed, it sends a 12 volt signal through the switch signal circuit to the RSM. The RSM then commands the appropriate seat motors to move in response to the switch signal.
Rear Seat Module and Power and Ground
The rear seat module controls the position of the third row seat. When commanded it moves the seat from the seated position to the stowed position, or, from the stowed position to the seated position. With the seat in the seated position, the RSM can also move the angle of the seat back forward or rearward.
Battery positive voltage is supplied at all times to the module through the battery positive voltage circuit and the FFSM fuse located in the left rear fuse block. This voltage is used to power up the RSM and also to apply power to the seat motors when commanded. The RSM is grounded through the module ground circuit and G401.
The first place to start would be check the fuse's .Do you know where the left rear fuse block is located ? Fuse Block - Left Rear
In the passenger compartment, near the left side of the rear seat under the carpet
If the fuse is good next thing to do would be ,have check for DTC'S in the rear seat module ! This has nothing to do with check engine light or OBD 2 diagnostic trouble codes an a code reader for said OBD2 codes will not work . Would need a factory scan tool to check these codes.

Battery positive voltage is supplied at all times to the rear seat load floor switch and the rear seat position switch by the rear seat module (RSM). The RSM monitors these battery positive voltage supply circuits for the protection of internal circuitry of the module.

Rear vent controls not working


The rear blower motor switch and the rear floor console switch bezel are serviced only as an assembly.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the rear floor console.
Rear Blower Motor Switch

  1. Remove the rear floor console switch bezel by releasing the retaining tab located at each end of the switch bezel and pushing it out through the front surface of the console.
  2. Disconnect the wire harness connectors from the rear blower motor switch and the rear heated seat switches.
  3. Remove the rear heated seat switches from the rear floor console switch bezel by gently prying the switches free from the back of the switch bezel.
INSTALLATION
  1. Install the rear heated seat switches into the back of the rear floor console switch bezel. Make sure that the switch retaining tabs are fully engaged to the bezel.
  2. Connect the wire harness connectors to the rear blower motor switch and the rear heated seat switches.
  3. Install the rear floor console switch bezel into the rear floor console by pushing it in through the front surface of the console. Make sure that the bezel retaining tabs are fully engaged to the console.
  4. Install the rear floor console.
  5. Reconnect the negative battery cable.

Heated rear seats


Check the 20 A REAR SEAT FUSE in the instrument panel fuse block. The fuse supplies power to the rear heated seat module which may have failed. A serial data line is connected to the rear seat audio (RSA) panel to send switch setting information to the rear heated seat module and turn on the appropriate LED(s).

My front seats will not operate or heat any suggestions


If you have no power seats or heated seats. I would wiggle a connector under the drivers seat near the rear left while trying to toggle the switch. The power where doesn't contact well and will have to be jumpered across the circuit

The driver seat heater just quit. all fuses are good. how do you tell if the relay is good?


Swap it with a relay you know to be good and see if it works again,pick a relay that is not important to the function of your car.

HEATED SEAT SYSTEM
Individually controlled driver and passenger side electrically heated front seats are available factoryinstalled optional equipment on this model, when it is also equipped with the power seat option. The heated seat system allows both the driver and the front seat passenger the option to select one of two seat heating ranges, Low or High, or to turn the individual seat heaters OFF using the heated seat switches located in the center lower bezel near the bottom of the instrument panel center stack. The heated seat switch circuit operates on ignition switched battery current supplied through a fuse in the junction block, only when the ignition switch is in the ON position.

The heated seat system consists of the following components
  • Heated seat elements
  • Heated seat sensors
  • Heated seat module (or memory heated seat module)
  • Heated seat switches.
The heated seat system also relies upon resources shared with other electronic modules in the vehicle over the Programmable Communications Interface (PCI) data bus network. The PCI data bus network allows the sharing of sensor information. This helps to reduce wire harness complexity, internal controller hardware, and component sensor current loads. At the same time, this system provides increased reliability enhanced diagnostics, and allows the addition of many new feature capabilities. For diagnosis of these electronic modules or of the PCI data bus network, the use of a DRB scan tool and the proper Diagnostic Procedures are recommended.

The electronic modules that may affect heated seat system operation are as follows:
  • Body Control Module (BCM) - Refer to Body Control Module in Electronic Control Modules for more information.
  • Heated Seat Module (HSM) - Refer to Heated Seat Module in Electronic Control Modules for more information.
  • Memory Heated Seat Module (MHSM) - If the vehicle is equipped with the Memory System, refer to Memory Seat Module in Electronic Control Modules for more information.
Refer to Power Seats Premium I/III in the Contents of Wiring Diagrams for complete circuit diagrams. Following are general descriptions of the major components in the heated seat system.

The heated seat system will only operate when the ignition switch is in the ON position, and the surface temperature at the front seat heating element sensors is below the designed temperature set points of the system. The heated seat system will not operate in ambient temperatures greater than about 41 °C (105 °F) . The front seat heating elements and sensors are hard wired to the Heated Seat Module (HSM) or the Memory Heated Seat Module (MHSM).

The heated seat switches are hard wired to the Body Control Module (BCM). The BCM monitors the heated seat switch inputs, then sends heated seat switch status messages to the HSM or MHSM over the Programmable Communications Interface (PCI) data bus. The HSM or MHSM contains the control logic for the heated seat system. The HSM or MHSM responds to the heated seat switch status messages, ignition switch status messages, and the front seat heating element sensor inputs by controlling the output to the front seat heating elements through integral solid-state relays.

When a seat heater is turned ON, the sensor located on the seat cushion electric heater element provides the HSM or MHSM with an input indicating the surface temperature of the seat cushion. If the surface temperature input is below the temperature set point for the selected Low or High heated seat switch position, the HSM or MHSM energizes the integral solid-state relay, which supplies battery current to the heating elements in the seat cushion and back. When the sensor input indicates the correct temperature set point has been achieved, the HSM or MHSM de-energizes the solid-state relay. The HSM or MHSM will continue to cycle the solid-state relay as needed to maintain the temperature set point.

The HSM or MHSM and the seat heater elements operate on non-switched battery current supplied through the power seat circuit breaker in the junction block. However, the HSM or MHSM will automatically turn OFF the heating elements if it detects an open or short in the sensor circuit, a short or open in the heating element circuit causing an excessive current draw, or when the ignition switch is turned to the OFF position.
