Question about 1999 Hyundai Accent
2001 hyundai coupe not excellerating well and check light flashing. electronic testing highlighted misfire cylinder (middle two) new plugs and coil was put in but still the same problem. any ideas??
This post is about a month old but maybe someone else will see it and it will help them. For this particular type of vehicle I would recommend NGK plugs (available at most parts places) NAPA has the Belden Maxx spark plug wires which work great. Make sure if you are doing this yourself that the plugs are properly gapped, even if they say they are pre-gapped from the factory check it and do it yourself if needed. As far as the coil if you are talking about what is refered to as coil pack(s) then re-doing the plugs and going with new plug wires should solve your problem. Generally if the plugs or wires are bad they can cause the coil pack(s) to go bad as well
