Yes it is.along with the fluid you will want to change the filter if your car is equipped with an automatic transmission.
All manufacturers have their own recommended transmission service maintenance schedules. Your best source for 100% accurate info would be to consult your owners manual. If you don't have one for your car a call to any Honda dealer will get the answers you need for free.
hope this helps! thanks for choosing FIX YA!

This is a computer controlled transmission. If it is making the shifts but they seem to be a little late then most likely is an engine performance issue or a sensor input that is just a little off.need to have a diagnostic run on the car by someone familiar with Mercedes.

Honda ESI A/T..i noticed delay in shifting of gears and earlier, running almost 2 kilometers its still at the speed of the first gear..

Check A/T fluid level with engine warm. If low, and you see no visible leaks, see if your engine coolant has become red.(do this part cold) This indicates a transmission fluid leak into your radiator. Solution - new radiator. Low fluid levels cause late shifting that seems to disappear as the car warms up. this is because the fluid expands as it warms and then has enough volume to do the job.

Hi, I need to know when I need to change the transmission fluid in my car Mitsubishi Lancer 2008, automatic. My car has 41,000 km. Thank,Romy

The owners manual says nothing about ATF change intervals. The warranty manual says check it regularly. In the severe service section of the warranty manual it says for severe duty change it at 30,000 miles(48,000 kilometers). I would consider changing the ATF no later than 50,000 miles(80,000 kilometers). Mitsubishi cars use there own Diamond ATF SP III. If you do not change it by 60,000 to 70,000 miles (96,000 to 113,000 kilometers) the transmission may start to act funny when shifting. Regular changes will keep you from experiencing this problem. Be sure to use genuine Mitsubishi Diamond ATF SP III or a synthetic equivalent.

Change fluid, check modulator? Very old MB towing any number of things could have happened to that transmission. Could be a vacuum leak.

Suggest changing fluid and filter as old fluid can cause issues. Also Pistons on the side of the transmission can be changed without removing them. When they break you can lose gears. If that doesnt work time for a rebuild.
