The only solution that I can come up with is that the ground wire under the dash on the drivers side (it is mounted to the bottom edge of the dash with a screw) is really loose. I sincerely hope that this helped. Best wishes.

    How is Kati doing?

Oh, you are very welcome! It's cold here as well. I'll still be here for you, if you still need me. So, don't be shy about commenting. I will answer.

It's on the drivers side, to the left of the steering column, between the hood popper and the column. Right on the front bottom edge of the dash. It should be a black wire that is held on with a single screw. It's probably loose. Same thing happened to my Blazer. I tightened the screw and everything was back to normal. If that is not the problem, then leave a comment and I will still be here for you. God bless.

This dash is a "push-in" dash panel. There was a lot of trouble with the connections on the panel. They get corroded and don't make good contact. Remove the instrument cluster, spray the connections with electro-motive spray. Maybe even some very fine steel wool (with the battery disconnected!) and get the terminals clean. Re-assemble. It should work GREAT. Hope this helps.

Do the warning lights come on when you turn the key on ?
And are you saying the digital numbers don't work, or the dash lights at night ?
If you check the battery with a meter, you should have 12 volts with the engine off, and 14 or so with it running.

1997 Chevrolet Blazer 4.3L V6. Where is the fuel pump fuse located?

In the instrament panel fuse box on the drivers side of the dash. I think its labeled as ECM/Bat.

If you pull your cluster out of the dash, take the rear case cover off and you will see many fuses, some are just coroded away, others are jut full of dust and grime, use alchohol to clean them and they should work, however, if they are coroded, you can either replace them (good luck finding them) OR just resolder them with LEAD FREE solder
