Question about 2003 Mercury Mountaineer
Windows were froze up after ice storm thought the fuse blew. bought a new 30amp fuse/breaker for the fuse box under the hood. that did not solve the problem. no relay listed in the owners manual for windows. none of the windows work, the lighted switches are dark. is there a relay, and where is the relay located? any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you.
Most service department will charge you $100 -250 bucks for this but it's very simple once you change the 30 amp fuses. Disconnect that batter both psotive and negative terminals and wait for 2 min and reconnect. Let me know if thhis work. I did for my my truck.

There may be a relay or perhaps a switch to replace in the panel that houses the window switches on the driver's door. That panel comes off by prying it up from around the switches. You will see all the wires and perhaps the relay to replace when you pull it away from the door itself. The switches should simply unplug and you can replace whatever looks burned out.
