When i start the car the instrument panel does no wotk

Instrument cluster is probably bad, if you are speaking about the gauges that are located above your steering wheel. If you are taking about the lights that illuminate your gauges it could be a bad switch that dims and brightens.

How to replace the headlight switch assembly on a 1997 dodge grand caravan

The best I can offer is for a 1996 caravan:

REMOVAL
  1. Remove steering column cover.
  2. Remove over steering column bezel.
  3. Remove left end cover.
  4. Remove screw at left end of cluster bezel and headlamp switch.
  5. Remove screws holding cluster bezel to instrument panel from each side of steering column.
  6. Disconnect clip holding cluster bezel to instrument panel from above right vent louver.
  7. Separate cluster bezel from instrument panel.
Disconnect wire connectors from back of the bezel.

INSTALLATION
  1. Connect wire connectors into back of the bezel.
  2. Place cluster bezel in position on instrument panel. Use care not to place hands on louvers.
  3. Connect clips to hold cluster bezel to instrument panel. Use care not to add pressure on the A/C louvers to seat the cluster bezel clips.
  4. Install screws to hold cluster bezel to instrument panel on each side of steering column.
  5. Install screw at left end of cluster bezel and headlamp switch.
  6. Install left end cover.
  7. Install over steering column bezel.
  8. Install lower steering column cover.

I have a 1988 ford thunderbird 5.0 auto trans the electronic instrument panel cluster has gone dim can hardly see panel all fuses are good has auto dim head lamps

Usually a problem with the mini-lights inside the cluster, the circuit board or the dash light dimmer switch.
You can take the cluster out and see if the bulbs can be replaced or check the dimmer.
Not connected to automatic dimmer headlights.

I own a 1999 Buick Regal GSE with 94K miles. I recently noticed that my dashboard lights sometimes come on, and sometimes don't. Sometimes, during the day, if my dashboard lights are on, and I pull out...

In the 99 Regal, the headlamp switch is also the dimmer switch for the instrument cluster.
With the headlights on, try rotating the switch to bring up the "nighttime" intensity.
If the headlight switch has a pre-set dimming function for the instrument cluster lighting (in other words, not adjustible by rotating the knob), then
replacement of the headlight switch would be the only way to fix the instrument cluster lighting problem.
See Wiring Schematic below.

I have a fully loaded Trofeo. The dash lights won't work and it doesn't appear to be any fuses. The headlights have the auto sensing for darkness and auto on and I believe the instrument panel lights are...

To the left of the panel there is a little button that will move vertically. push that all the way up, just before it clicks (the click will turn all interior lights on). If that doesn't work there is a fuse in the glove compartment. i don't have my manual on me but there is a cluster that has instrument panel lighting on it. it usually says IP cluster or something. or have a mechanic go into service mode. I could tell you how to do that but it's kind of confusing without showing you

Xj8 instrument lights not on when headlights on

Make sure the dash lights aren't turned down first of all. I know that sounds basic, but I've seen it happen before. Believe the twist is near the knob to adjust the steering wheel which is lower steering column left hand side. Otherwise, I would check fuses to be sure. finally, the last thing I would do it pull the gauge cluster and check connections as well as bulbs.
