Question about 1994 Honda Accord

1 Answer

Honda Accord 94 model. Fan not kicking in.

The thermo fan isnt kicking in when it should. I think it is the relay as the same problem was fixed 2 years ago. I'm not keen to take it to an auto electricians so can you tell me where the relay is located for the thermo fan? Also, can you tell me where the main relay is as sometimes the car doesnt start and i read on a previous discussion portal that someone else had the same problem and it was the main relay. Thank Paul

My fan isnt working on my 96 honda accord will run hot

check to see if its the rad coolant fan motor that is bad, it could also be the temp sensor for the rad fan that is bad not sending signal to computer to turn on fan. it could be the fan relay or bad electrical connection in the system or even the computer. you don`t say what if anything you have checked.

The AC in my 1992 Honda Accord works. However, it blows hot air when I'm stopped at a light for too long. "Honda diagnosed the problem; said something about some type of thermostat that sticks,...

This indicates that the booster fan for AC has failed. If you look in back of the radiator, you will see 2 electric fans. One is for the engine cooling, and the other is a booster for when the AC is running to provide for extra air flow through radiator and AC condenser. (May also apply when engine overheats, but not sure of that) As car is moving along, then air is pushed through allowing AC to work. When standing still, and fan failed, then no air (or less air) passing over condenser grill. (Condenser is the one in front of the radiator) No cool.
While standing still with engine running, open the hood and look at fans. Watch your fingers. Fans can start at any time. One may be running or not. Now turn on AC and look at fans. Both should come on together. If not, then it may be either the fan, or the fan relay or fuse. Or even the wire.
Does the engine get extra hot while standing still running? Let it sit there for ten mins or so and see if main fan kicks on. Watch your temp gauge, you dont want it to boil over. When the temp reaches the level it is at normally, one fan should kick on. If temp keeps climbing and no fan, then that may be the same issue, likely the main relay.

Have a 1994 honda accord, no heater blower motor inside of the car and no cooling fan motor at radiator . Are they tied together by a relay or fuse? Why do they not work?

I think there is a fuse box under the hood and also under the dash. Check the fuses.
Make sure you get the cooling fan motor at the radiator fixed asap! I had a 94 accord and didn't know that one of the 2 motors went out. When the second one went out my transmission fried. Very costly!

On my 1997 honda accord lx the temperature gauge goes up to the red and the fan does not kick on,but the car does not overheat.what is going on?

If you gauge is readin g that high, you are over heating, maybe not to the point of engine shut down or hose failure. I suspect the thermo sensor that is mounted in the radiator is not operating, therefo causing the cooling fan not to function at high temps.
I recommend you have this checked quickly.

The heat in my 1998 honda accord isnt working could it be a fuse. The fan or nothing comes on

Yes, either a fuse (blower motor relay) (blower motor Resistor) or the fan blower motor is burned out.
