When you open your hood and look at the headlight. There will be a black ring. This ring holds the wire harness to the headlight.
First turn the black ring and pull it away from the light. Next, pry lightly on the clip holding the wire connector to the headlight. The headlight can now be removed

How do you change the headlight bulb on a 2002 oldmobile alero

It changes from behind the lens.
With the hood up look for the wiring harness going into the back of the lens. Pull the rubber cover off then you'll see the release to remove the bulb.
The lens DOES NOT come off. Also, DON'T touch the glass part of the new bulb as the oils off your body will be harmful to it.
Go after it. :-)

I have a 99 oldmobile cutlass. The inner headlight bulb need to be replaced. Do i need to change the whole headlamp?

No, you just change the bulb. Open your hood, and look down at the rear of the headlamp. You will see a nylon bulb socket going into the rear of the headlight assembly. Squeeze the nylon lock, and turn the socket counter clockwise, and it pulls out. Pull the bulb out, and replace with a new one. Be careful not to touch the new bulb with bare fingers. The oil on your fingers will cause early bulb failure. Use a paper towel or garden glove to handle the bulb.

Help changing the low beam, headlight

You'll need to pull up on the clips that hold the headlight in.. the clips are located on the back of the headlight and should be either white or black.. pull the clips straight up and you can then remove the headlight... remove the weather cover off the back of the headlight and pull the bulb out.. put the new bulb in but do not touch it... you should have an alcohol pad and clean the bulb with it before putting it in to make sure there's no residual oils left (oil will ruin the bulb and cause it to explode in the housing).. then pop the headlight in and put the weather cover on and slide the housing back in and clip it down...
