Question about 2000 Volkswagen Beetle

Crank no Start and no Fuel

I have a 2000 VW Beetle with the 1.7 tdi. It would not start after i shut it off. I took off the Fuel Filter to change it and i had someone crank the engine over to see if it was getting fuel and it was NOT. Please HELP

You need to Replace the Fuel Pump.

I have 2000 vw bettle, 2.0 auto., starts sometimes and sometimes u have to turn key several times before starting sometimes it will not start for days... i replaced fuel pump and relay ,, crank senc. ...


I've had this problem and it drove me crazy because I had just brought the car and it went ok for the drive home and then I went to start it again and it took ages to get it started. ( hated driving it).. I changed the oil and filter and it started first time every time.. But now have a new problem.. If I knew the problems these cars had I would never have brought one.. It makes a pretty lawn ornament though...

2000 vw jetta tdi glow plug problem ?


Ok , ok. Give me some more information and we'll solve this. We're talking about a jetta TDI 2000 with an ALH engine code I figure.
#1 Do you have an faults recorded in the ECM like a check engine.
#2 Are you using synthetic oil 5W40 preferably Castrol?
#3 How old is your fuel filter?
