CAUTION
You must remove the steering wheel
when replacing the ignition lock. On vehicles with a Supplemental
Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system, you must temporarily disable the SIR
system and remove the inflator module when removing the steering wheel.
Leaving the SIR system on could result in deployment of the air bag and
possible personal injury.

if you look at the housing the lock cylinder sits in you will see a small hole i think on the bottom side. Insert a small screwdriver or into that hole and turn the key to the start position. you should feel your screwdriver/punch move up into the hole. you should them be ably to pull the old lock cylinder out.
