Are the hubs interchangeable between an explore and the pre 90's bronco II?

    good call. i just read that the axles pre 90's were 23 spline. explorers are 27 spline

A good rule of thumb is five years.. if it is an 85 it will interchange with models up to 90 if it is a 90 it will interchange with models up to 95 and so on good luck ray

1990 Ford Bronco II manual transmission extremely hard to shift will not go into reverse

90 Ford Bronco II: You have to put it in whichever gear you want it in before you start it or it wont shift at all. Then once you are going its extremely hard to shift into the other gears. Reverse is the only gear that sounds like its grinding.

1987ford f150 4*4 manual hubs are broken and i cannot find replacements ....they were only made one year like this i understand

Try a Ford dealer. Then go online for Salvage yards. They use the internet and can FedEx the parts.

Remember Broncos had hubs too. The Big broncos are on a F150 chassis so the parts should interchange.

85-91 bronco II or ranger 2.9 cid
front drive shaft 85-90
rear drive shaft 89-90

Looking for bearing ajusting nut and locking key, for 89 bronco II 4x4 auto front hubs, holds the bearings and roters in place

you might want to check out the ranger station on switching to manuel hubs they will show you where the key is and the nut. it is a little pain the first time then you figure it out and its easy.

Can I tow a 1985 ford bronco II 4x4 with hubs and a 5 speed manual trans. without disconnecting the drive line

yes if you make sure the front hubs are disengaged(turn little hub releases in middle of the wheel,man trans is ok auto not ok you do need to remove the drive shaft of an auto not man

Can u interchange manual and automatic hubs?

You can change the hubs from auto ones to manual one it a lot cheaper if you buy new ones just have to remove the onld one read and follow the directions

Yes, they can. As long as the engines in both cars are the same. The Ranger and Bronco II are essentially the same truck and mechanical parts are interchangable between the 2.
